Description

This listing is for a petite British hand-wrought sterling silver teapot salver that was made in London in 1785 by Thomas Chawner.  This piece has 2 letter monogram engraved on the top.  The first letter is "B" but I am unsure what the second letter is.
This salver is 7" by 4 7/8" on the outside and the inside (where the tea pot would sit) is 6 5/8" x 4 3/8".    It is 5/8" tall and weighs 3.58 troy ounces.
Great condition for age.  There is some waviness in the top rim and one of the feet may have had a repair where it attaches to the body of the tray.  The tray does sit almost flat and there is only a minor wobble.  I have only lightly polished this piece and it could use a more thorough polishing.
