Carola is a extremely limited Porcelain art doll by Veronica Mussoni. This piece is #4 of an edition of only 25 pieces. This doll stands approximately 15.5 inches tall, and comes with her own little 4 inch handmade and hand painted all porcelain dolly. Carola has porcelain head, breastplate, and arms up to her forearms. Her legs and body are cloth. She is jointed at the hips and shoulders, and her head swivels. Her mouth is open and she has a dimple in her chin. Her hair is mohair and this doll has brown blown glass eyes. She is dressed in a raw silk low waist antique style dress with a dusty rose bow sash, a Swiss dot lace collar, lace trimmed silk cotton pantaloons and slip, and leather shoes with crocheted socks. Her backplate is engraved with the artists initials, and the dolls name "Carola IV" is hand signed there as well. The artist's initials are also engraved on the back of the neck.
