This is a very fine and rare
c1780
Irish sterling silver
dual crested
shield crown hoof foot salver.
We believe from the Dublin  shop of
John Locker.
The dual crests, one with motto translated
Bold to endure all things.
Hallmarked as shown, Dublin harp crowned and Hibernia very well
struck as show, opposite side faint maker's mark, possibly John Locker.
This very early c1780 Irish sterling dual crested salver 8 inches and a bit
over 13 standard ounces.
In fine condition.
Retains much original detail.
Rich sterling patina.
Two small (about 1/4 inch) bumps, near gadroonded edge.
Sells world wide.
